"Red, White, and Blue"

Summer is in full swing and its time to officially celebrate the first summer holiday. Busy schedules can sometimes make it hard to plan a party but don't panic, Classy Little Party Box is here to help you with some last minute 4th of July party ideas. Plus everyone loves to look at something nice duh.

Party Details
Garlands are such a fun and festive decoration piece. They can be made with items lying around your home. Here are two simple and easy ideas. The first is made out of fabric and twine string. Simply cut fabric into small equal pieces and tie them on to a string. Our next garland is a tulle pom pom garland which is super cute and easy to make (click link below for detailed instructions).
For the table we used a large piece of burlap fabric left from a previous project and overlapped it with a red, white, and blue plaid pattern fabric to give a rustic look. Adding fabric to your table instead of a tablecloth is very easy and a great alternative. Check out your local fabric store and purchase a yard of fabric if you want to add pop of color or if you want to cover your table entirely we suggest getting 2-3 yards. The sparklers on a stick add the finishing touches to your festive party decorations. All you will need is a wooden stick and festive tissue paper (click link below for detailed instructions).

Food and Drink Details
Instead of putting chips or popcorn in a bowl, place them in individual bags for your guest to grab easily. We  made some cute festive pies and placed them on a stick and also added straws to the rice krispy treats to help our guest from getting sticky fingers. Placing our burgers and hot dogs on deli baskets kept the red, white, and blue theme going. I mean nothing says outside eating more then deli baskets.
Sangria is a must on hot summer days. We added strawberries and blueberries to give our sangria a patriotic look. Italian sodas are not only delicious but they are super fun and easy to make. All you'll need is ice, club soda, and Torani syrup. We used watermelon and blue raspberry Torani flavored syrup (Torani syrups can be found at world market).

That’s it! Your 4th of July party doesn’t have to look dull or boring. Have fun styling and Happy 4th of July!

"You Are My Sunshine"

We cannot get enough of this “You Are My Sunshine1st birthday theme. We were excited when we were approach to help style a chic, glitzy, and classy “You Are My Sunshine” birthday party. Our first thought was how do we make this theme chic and classy…  but we were determined to take on the challenge!

Party Details

One thing we knew we needed for this theme was gold glitter and LOTS of it! How can you get sick of gold glitter? I mean come on its GLITTER! So we wanted to make a big 3D sun that would be the main focus on the backdrop and the little smiling suns on the tassel banner gave that little extra sun exposure we were looking for.

A request we got was to add a cupcake station for the little girls. We pulled out a sweet little bar cart that we painted gold. We set up the cupcakes on top for the girls to pick their own cupcakes and decorate it with yummy toppings.

Now if there is one aspect of a party that we take serious, its personalizing what we put on a dessert table to reflect the birthday girl or boy. When we heard how sweet little Lea loves veggies we made it our mission to have veggies on the table but of course make it look chic. Our idea was to make veggie poppers inspired by candy poppers. We stuffed carrots and celery sticks inside a cardboard roll and covered it with tissue paper to make it look like candy. To say the least it was a hit!

This was truly a theme we ran far with and enjoyed every aspect of creating such a memorable party.
